How do I register for this event?

Register online at www.walkwithme.org/philadelphia or register in-person beginning at 8:15 a.m. on June 8, 2024

Can I sign up a team, as a team member, or as an individual?

Yes, you can register as an individual, create a team, or join an existing team. We encourage people to sign up as a team, as this seems to be more fun from what we have gathered from past participants, but we welcome individual walkers.

Can I register multiple walkers?

Yes! After you hit the ‘Complete Registration’ button, a new screen will give you an option at the top that says ‘register another person’. This will allow you to register additional walkers. Email addresses are not required for additional walkers, but preferred. No email address being required is ideal and preferred for registering your children who do not have their own email address.

Is there a registration fee?

Each individual walker has a registration fee of $35. If your team wishes to raise enough as a whole to cover each walker signed up ($35 x Number of Walkers on your team = Total fundraising dollars needed), please reach out to lmeckes@easterseals-sepa.org. Children under the age of 12 are free, but donations are appreciated.

What if my team as a whole has raised enough money to cover the $35 per walker, does each individual walker on my team still have to raise $35?

No, each walker can raise $35, or your team as a whole may raise enough to cover all walkers.

What if I register and can’t make it?

Can’t make it? We would hate for you to miss the fun, but if for some reason you can’t attend, we appreciate your fundraising efforts on our behalf! Unfortunately, money raised is non-transferable. If you raised enough money to receive a fundraising incentive, this prize will be mailed to you upon redemption 45 days after the walk.

Where is registration/check-in?

TBD. The Zoo is currently completing construction on the welcome area. We will confirm the location of registration/check-in by mid-May.

What time does the walk start?

The walk begins at 9:30am. Please allow yourself ample time to park, visit the registration/check-in table, and walk to the start line inside the zoo gates.

What happens after the race?

After the race there is a Post-Walk Party at Stony Creek Pavilion inside the zoo until 10:15 am. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Entertainment includes music, face painting, give-aways and other activities. Participants are welcome to stay and visit the zoo exhibits free of charge following the Post Walk Party.

Are strollers, wheelchairs, and pets allowed?

A. Strollers and wheelchairs are allowed.
B. Pets are not allowed at this event. Service animals are permitted.
C. Bicycles and Tricycles are not allowed, but strollers and wagons are welcome.

What if it is raining?

Event takes place rain or shine unless zoo determines it is unsafe to walk, and thank you for your donation!*

Where do I park?

Parking is available free of charge and located at the corner of Johnson Highway and Harding Blvd (click to view on Google Maps). Handicap parking spaces are available just outside the main entrance to the zoo. Please follow the directional signage onsite for the main entrance into the zoo. 

Can I turn in money at the walk?

Yes! We take all forms of payment (Venmo, Credit Card, Check, Cash, Paypal etc). Please remember everyone 12+ years of age must raise $35 to participate in the walk. Children under the age of 12 are free, although a $10 donation per child (to support Zoo entry fees) is appreciated. Please remember, everyone needs to be registered to walk regardless of age.

Can I continue to raise money after the conclusion of the walk?

Yes, www.walkwithme.org/philadelphia will be running until June 30, 2024. You can also mail donations to:

* If the event is cancelled for health, weather or safety reasons, we will treat your contribution as a donation to the agency.  No refunds will be given, and the event will not be rescheduled.
